Resilient Past, Impactful Future
The entire Chicago United team digs deep into its work, tackling new challenges and introducing new initiatives while remaining focused on our mission. This was so profound during our 2023 Annual Meeting where we welcomed Members and business leaders committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
There were so many highlights from the Meeting: the engaging Fireside Chat with Anuradha Hebbar, Global DEI Practice Leader, as we unpacked the global research data from Chicago United Member Company Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart Company; the presentation of honors recognizing our Members’ outstanding, mission-advancing contributions in 2022; and the installation of the Officers and Members-at-Large of Chicago United’s 2023-2024 Board of Directors.
We are prepared to navigate and conquer the new challenges but we take great honor in our strong foundation and the Members, allies and partners dedicated to working alongside Chicago United.
An immeasurable part of Chicago United’s foundation is John Robak, Civic Leader and Philanthropist, who served on the Board since 2014 and was elected Board Chairman in 2021. The Annual Meeting saw the end of John’s tenure with the Board.
John’s support of Chicago United is invaluable; he is a passionate and committed leader. We thank John immensely for his hard work on behalf of Chicago United and our Board of Directors.
Prepared to build upon this legacy and strong foundation is Chicago United’s newly appointed Chairman of the Board, Santino Bibbo, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Cabrera Capital Markets, as well as five new Board Members. I look forward to Santino’s leadership and working in tandem with the Board as we continue to propel Chicago United role as conveners, expand our outreach and continue to lead those courageous conversations.
We have more to do to achieve equitable representation and inclusion in business but I am optimistic as we continue to make great strides towards our goal.
Best,
